Saw this on the Cummins site yesterday and havn't seen any post on it so I thought I would post this.

Anyway, looks like the Cummins will be around awhile though it did not specify a length of the agreement.

Thanks for posting that because what was going to happen with the diesel in the 3500 since Fiat is now in charge was one of the things I was wondering about when it came to upgrading my truck. I guess now I can wait until this fall to get my Laramie.

Saw this on the Cummins site and another forum, a couple of days ago. There was never any doubt in my mind that this would come about. The boys at Fiat are not stupid. They know that Cummins is not a big asset it, is a HUGE asset to have. They also apparently have it figured out that as soon as these tough times are over, North Americans will want to drive large vehicles. Who in their right mind wants to take a cross country trip in a Fiat 500 or the like. This along with the fact that the whole "Global Warming" thing is nothing but a fear tactic perpetrated by the Greenies (David Suzuki and Al Gore to name 2) will have no effect on our desire to move around and see our countries as always. North America ain't Europe, the love affair with the automobile is alive. Now if we can just get our dumb a$$ politicians to see this asap, things might turn for the better faster. Chrysler/Fiat will continue to make larger cars and trucks. OK, I'm done now!!
