Just got my Automotive News in the mail and they say that a couple of the changes for 2012 is that the 5.7L Hemi powered Heavy Duty trucks will be getting a new 6 speed transmission. The second thing and most important to us is Cummins owners that already have a 6 speed transmission is an air-spring suspension system that is planned. (Can't wait to find out more)
It also said that the Ram Dakota will no longer produced after August and that the Ram 1500 is scheduled for a Major Modification according to the companies 2009 five year plan. Likely changes will be new powertrains which would include the Chrysler Pentastar V-6 along with a new designed ZF-designed eight speed automatic transmission with the transmission not being available until 2014 since Chrysler isn't planning to start production of the transmissions until 2013 in Indiana.
