yep same here, I have not had any MIL light on as they pointed out, but dont like the idea of over sooting the components either...they may have been slightly over fueling the early trucks? I wonder what it will do to the hp of the truck ,I don't want to take it in and it be a dog after the re-tune...then again it may help it pick up a mpg or two??? I don't know keep us posted with the results if any one has had this done yet?

Got mine today. 77,000 miles and its been trouble free, no check engine lights or ever had plugged dpf warning. My notice says it is mandatory in Ca or else DMV won't renew the registration. Likde others said I hope it doesn't screw up a trouble free truck.

Did any of you see on the notice where they state that not getting this done soon could void your warranty for failing to maintain your vehicle............................kind of hacked me off after all I've been through with the 6.7L now after 3 years.

Yes it does! "In order to ensure your full protection under the emission warranty provisions, it is recommended that you have your vehicle serviced as soon as possible. Failure to do so could legally be determined to be a lack of proper maintenance of you vehicle. further without this repair, your vehicle may fail a state or local emission inspection test."

I got mine done yesterday, did not see a difference but I only drive it for about 20 miles.

mine was done a couple of weeks ago, it seems like my truck is in regen most of the time in the city... probably because lately I have been doing short runs and it doesn't complete. have to take it for a good run on the wknd....

Funny though when i took it into the dealer for an oil change, the service advisor sort of blew over the recall... 'uh there is a recall that needs to be done also...something to do with the air filter'

Got the J35 today. On the trip back from the dealer, I noticed about 5 LBS more boost, the turbo spools quicker and the engine seems to have more mid and upper range response. I have not re-unplugged my EGR yet.
While I was at the dealership, I looked closely at a new 2500 Mega Cab. What an interior, WOW! but sticker of $72,000 CDN made me instantly like my truck even more. Sure would like on of those 6.1 Hemi Challengers in Plum Crazy to tool around in!!!

Smile J35 Recall

Had my 08 2500 reflashed today. What I have noticed is lower idle speed when in gear it now has auto idle to 1100 RPMs when idling when not in gear after about a minute warm or cold ( Never did this before). Better low and mid pull and milage is noticable, as well when engaged the exhaust brake is working even at an idle it used to cut out when lower than 1200 RPM, now it cycles even at an idle when foot is not on the accelarator. Just my observations after 300 miles.

I have to say though my 6.7 has been flawless other than a grill that peeled after being hit by a stone ( replaced under warranty ) and tie rod ends on both sides replaced after 1000 miles with greasable units also under warranty.
