Default severe exhaust leak

have 08 3500 w/205,000 miles on it. have developed a severe exhaust leak which seems to be coming from the rear of the engine(closest to firewall). when i come to a stop, it looks like my truck i on fire, smoke billowing out from under the hood. anyone have a "how to" on fixing this thing and what parts i need to purchase? checked genos garage. they have nothing on exhaust leaks.(gaskets, etc).

This is something you will have to investigate a bit further .... Check to see if its the manifold gasket or egr cooler gasket, or egr cooler itself, etc. Once you know exactly where its leaking, we can provide more information.

Cheers.

What years your truck? The 07's had a recall for the soundproofing falling down and catching on fire.
