Smile MBRP Exhaust

I just got done putting on the MBRP 5" DPF back pipe with their 6" tip. The install went fairly quick but I did do it by myself and it would have been tons easier with an extra set of hands. Since the install I've noticed an improvment of about 1-2 mpg on the first tank I ran thru it. The only difficult part of the install was getting the tip onto the pipe due to the fact that the end of the pipe had gotten bent a little during shipping so it took a 2x4 and a hammer to get on. And a lot of choice words. The tone of the truck has gotten deeper and when under load you can hear the turbo spool up nicely when using the Jake.

Cool Mileage increase

Let us know if this mileage increase is consistent tank to tank. I'll spring for one if it is.

Default mbrp

I got it off of extremediesel.com. It only took them three days to get it up to Alaska.

Default mpg

since that install, i got about 1.7 mpg increase over 3 tanks. im very hapy with it but if you go off road be warned, it is a big pipe and it hangs a little lower than stock, id be a little worried about getting into deep mud with it.

Cool MBRP Pipe.

Thanks for the update on your mileage increase. I had seen another post claiming no difference but couldn't see how a truck could breathe through a muffler as small as they use on the 6.7. I think that will be my next mod.

The MBRP completely does away with the muffler correct?
