Not I and after 46,000 miles I don't think I will. When I first got the truck I was afraid I'd have to gut the emissions but after I owned it a while and learned how she wanted to be treated I'm very very happy and no black smoke to boot.

I believe there's a size limit but I don't remember what it is so until I look I believe most of the pics I uploaded are less then 250 KB and around the 750X500 size range.

As for the DPF delete it's my understanding here in Kansas that the days of no smog inspections are just about over. The Gov of the State said late last year that we are one of the worse states for air pollution now and if people don't start doing whats right voluntarily then passing legislation will be the next step and I'd sure hate to spend a grand or more just to turn around and put her back to stock.

I do know that HS sells a kit H&S Performance - Cab & Chassis DPf Delete Kit

Quote:
6.7L Cab & Chassis kit $400 USD
Quote:
Part # 127113-K
Kit contains the following:
*4" aluminized delete pipe, w/ flange plate, bolt-in, no cutting or welding
*Removes both catalytic converter and Diesel Particulate Filter
*Includes EGT modules (part# 100HSM) to turn off Regeneration
*Detailed instructions, all hardware included
*No wiring necessary, completely plug and play

*May cause a Check Engine Light, but is a "soft code" and can be cleared by any scan tool or tuner.
*Pressure module part #1000PB recommended for AV and newer flash updates to keep overhead console from reading "catalyst full"

and this place DPF-R sells a code free kit for those who don't have a programmer like the Edge Juice that can clear all codes at startup.
Quote:
Very simply the product kit (FK35 & DK30) is comprised of 3 main components: 1st is the pipe to alleviate the plugged filter issue (DPF only on the Ford, the DPF & NOx absorber on the Dodge), 2nd is the Emulator System which is a plug & play solution that plugs under the hood and down to the "Pressure Sensor harness", 3rd and final is the Module which is a plug & play pass thru harness that connects to the OBD2 port under the steering column. This module is in the scan tool class of equipment and does have a code clearing feature. The main function of the Module is to communicate with the ECM of the truck and tell it to set the default re-gen settings back to Zero. There are several things that are in your favor with this set up. You will notice that the truck has a little more power and torque and maybe a little more responsive on the throttle. These are normal functions of the factory stock programming in the truck. Given a perfect filter is emulated, and given that there is an ability to breath the truck will tune it’s self to a peak performance as far as the manufacture has designed it to.
Now, you ask is there any codes or re-gens with this product: with the filter’s perfect Emulation there will never be a re-gen or code initiated by the filter values. There are several default values that will cause the truck to re-gen by default. These are mileage since last re-gen, SOx accumulation counter, NOx accumulation counter, there are some others that I am not right sure of but the Module sets these back to Zero and allows the truck to go on without the default re-gens. Worst case scenario: if you drive your truck for many hundreds of miles without cycling the key for 10-15 seconds on startup then the values will not be set back to zero and one of those will reach a re-gen trigger point and the truck will do as it is designed to do and start a re-gen. A simple key cycle for 10-15 seconds will stop the re-gen and reset the counters back to zero and you are good for several hundred miles more.
Installation

If you are a race enthusiasts and choose to race your vehicles on the weekend, or a technician rescuing a truck with a failed dpf, it would require about an hour of your time in your garage with a few hand tools to change the DPF filter out for the test pipe, plug several plugs in zip tie the cable to secure it up out of the way. (The most complicated thing would have to be replacing the DPF for to the "Test Pipe"). After you are done racing or testing it will cost you another hour of your time to put the truck back to "street legal". (Or dealer ready). Some have wondered if our product is traceable; it is no more traceable than a scan tool.
Code Clearing

As there is potential for trouble installing and removing the DPF-R, (e.g. forgetting to plug in a sensor) the DPF-R has a code clear feature, with the 10-15 second key cycle it will clear all intermittent dpf related codes, however, if there is an active/open or hard code or trouble with another system the code will reappear and you will need to have the truck checked out by a dealer. This is a safety issue for you and in this way if the Module is on and the key cycle is 10-15 seconds and there is still a code on the dash your need to pay attention to it. During normal operation there will be no check engine light.

Yes there are a few diff brands on the market right now. The hardest part to it all is lifting the heavy exhaust out by yourself highly reccomnend having a friend handy. I will never put mine back to stock till i move back to Missouri and have to get a yearly safety inspection done which putting it back on takes 45min max. As far as getting a huge fine well really dont have a answer for that one besides bite the bullet as long as your not pulling commercialy i dont see them really messing with you but have heard of some people getting huge fines plus dealers for installing the kits but its hard to squeeze blood out of a turnip. Plus the egr is the worst thing on these motors all that recycled gas going back in your moto(SOOT)have you ever pulled the 4 bolts out of the egr and lifted it up it is so dirty under there and all the soot just goes back in the motor not what i want. I drove my truck like a demon child when i bought it and also easy sometimes but never 1 problem till the 22,000 mark turbo went out kept throwing the p2262 code dealer cleaned and tapped it then finally just put a new one on and then i installed my DPF KIT in their parking lot and they were all watching like i was retarded lol but quesss what 33,??? on the beast now so that dang near makes it 12,000mi since the deletes trouble free. Your truck will appreciate you so much more if you do all the deletes to it but not trying to start stock/non stock exhaust war just stating my opinion. Thanks

My Wife's asthma will thank me if I don't. It's a personal decision that many of the members here share. I'm very satisfied with the power and performance of this beast and no black smoke to boot.

This is a discussion forum so no worries but the argument about the soot is strange when you consider where the soot came from in the beginning? That's right, the motor. As for the P2262 code, there's no need to clean or replace the turbo when this happens just drive the truck like it's meant to be and the code will go away and never come back. The code gets thrown from not building boost, which in turn never moves the sliding vane, which in turn allows soot to accumulate. I know this to be true because I too went through the P2262 saga but never did go to the dealership. Code Free for 7 days and 1,343 miles

I don't have a problem with those who choose to disable the anti pollution gear though it does make me wonder why they didn't buy a 5.9L? I had the choice of buying the same exact truck with either the 5.9L or 6.7L and chose the 6.7L because of the 2010 emissions and haven't looked back.

The dealer said the turbo was junk not going to argue cause i got a new one under warranty then installed everything in front of them. Dont get me wrong i love my truck and i loved it stock form till 20,000mi then it went downhill and fast so i took matters into my own hands now i can honestly say my truck gets darn in between 21-22mpg unloaded at 65-70 mph lot better than stock and the power makes me speechless i thought the 5.9 had low end grunt but the 6.7 hands down plus with a hand shaker behind it to boot. For warranty work as long as they cant see it its fine they said and if something does go wrong they to prove with in a reasonable doubt that the chip, exhaust, cai what ever you had on there caused the prob and that would be hard to do a dealer or service manager can not black flag your warranty the district manager has to come down and do it. Squid im glad you are trouble free with your ride wish i could have been to but oh well
