Most diesel particulate filters are not serviceable, i.e. they have to be replaced. I have heard of quotes as high as 2,200.00 to have one replaced.BIG $$$$ Not any more. They can be modified so they can be taken apart and cleaned over and over again. there is a place that can do this. It is WI – East Central « Clean Diesel Specialists the DPF is cut apart, cleaned, flanges welded on and bolted back together. Now you can take it off and have it cleaned, not replaced.
