Most diesel particulate filters are not serviceable, i.e. they have to be replaced. BIG $$$$ Not any more. They can be modified so they can be taken apart and cleaned over and over again. there is a place that can do this. It is WI – East Central « Clean Diesel Specialists the DPF is cut apart, cleaned, flanges welded on and bolted back together. Now you can take it off and have it cleaned, not replaced. The first time cost is aprox. 750.00 to clean and install the kit. From that point forward the cleaning is about 325.00 that alot better then paying for a new one. I have heard of quotes as high as 2,200.00 to have one replaced. WI – East Central « Clean Diesel Specialists
