Did they make the hole thicker for the o-ring to fit in better?

Do not know about you folks, if it was me, I would be screaming pissed for having to wait so long on a defective product !! You all have patience !! Lost mine many years back
![]() I have to say, 18K miles on the Banks unit with scoop and still no issues. This includes lots of ranch road travels and 4x4 across some nasty land. Had to pull grass and mud out of the scoop a couple times already ![]() -R

I received the tube today… finally. They beefed the hole thickness up so the o-ring should not get sucked down. They also have threaded inserts and screws for all 3 holes so placement and tightening is better. I did have to drill the small hole out a bit because I could not get the sensor o-ring to go in. Let hope all will be well with this setup.

Glad to hear you both got your new tube. I'm still going strong after 67,000 miles with my original tube so I'm wondering if they had changed suppliers at some point?

I'm planning on getting the Banks Ram-Air intake (@ Camping World for $310.33) and the Super Scoop. They are suppose to call be back on the final price on the Super Scoop (it's a special order for it). The ad in the paper shows $109.15 starting. Both are cheaper here than anywhere else that I've seen.
Never mind about Camping World. Found out they want $75 for S&H plus tax! It would be cheaper to buy @ regular price and get free shipping someplace else. Looking at "USDieselParts.Com" anybody know if this is a good place to order from? Last edited by StarGazer; 11-11-2010 at 06:30 PM.. |
