Default Stock Air Box

Anyone out there running the stock air box with the Intake Baffle taken out? I assume those with aftermarket boxes are already gone? Saw this on another site thought I'd check it out and see if I see any difference in performance. Or check engine lights.

I was before changing out the whole air box. Not much difference in performance, mainly a noise baffle. To get more air flow into that pipe, the air box itself has to flow more.

I have been running a gutted intake tube and a four inch hole in the bottom of the stock air box for about 80,000 KMs. I have also run 3 different drop in after market air filters, a flat aFe, a cone shaped K&N and a cone shaped aFe Pro 5. After a friend, running an aFe drop in, dusted his engine, I went back to the stock filter. I noticed no change in mileage or performance. The restriction is in the intake tube.

I am running the Bank air box with scoop. Been very pleased with its performance, oem look and feel, and K&N filter. I have about 30,000 miles on it. Turbo still clean like the day I got it.

I run the factory airbox, with the PSM style homemade airbox mod, AFE PG7 drop in filter, and a PSM Cool hose.
