Thumbs up K&N Intake Kit 57-1557

Well, it arrived yesterday from ExtremeDiesel! So of course I had to install it right away. Very straightforward. Having just completed the EGR service last week, it was fresh in my mind (I took out the stock intake to make the EGR service go easier).
In between supper, the whole process took about 2 hours. And then I had to go run it down the highway to see the difference. I noticed right away the difference in sound in the engine. Once I tromped the pedal I found out right away the real difference. It was like I just took the muzzle off that big Cummins! It could breath and boy did it like that. As I was getting onto the I-95 I had the pedal on the mat, I was chirping tires thru each gear change. So, now that I know it made big difference I will refrain from this type of activity as I am too old and wise to think that burning up a set of tires is fun. Now, the next is to fill it with fuel and see what happens to my fuel mileage. I will post as soon as I have some feedback on whether there was any real improvement. Attached a picture of the install and the spec sheet from K&N. My truck = 2008 RAM 2500 Quad Cab Long Box 4WD
