Banks Ram Air for the Cummins 6.7L

Well I really like Banks products. I have a Banks on my Titan so this Intake is appealing since I'm trying to decide which Banks DPF back exhaust I want, traditional or dual out.

The only thing that bugs me about this intake is it's not a dry filter. I really, really, like the dry filters like the Volant on the Titan. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I really do like the system and I bet I could find a dry Nano fibre filter that would fit................

I guess the jury is still out on 'wet or dry' filters. Currently i am still a fan of wet, The dry ones are very limited in the configurations at this time. I have seen great results with wet as well as many problems created by them. I have no issues with the K&N on the 96, I have never bought a replacement filter for it. it now has over 170 K in it. But I do see some issue with a turbo with an over serviced filter, an oil residue and dust or an air leak that causes it to stick to balanced parts. I have not decided what I want to get for mine yet, the prices are unreasonable and the actual test results don't show a tremenous improvement on MPG or power. Servicablility would be the only reason to get on until some one comes out with an proven unit. I under stand there is a K&N drop in for the 6.7's, (It's a wet filter). good luck and keep us informed.

I'll have the banks new CAI this Thursday and in that night unless its raining. I'll try and get pics. Still trying to figure this site out. And I'll let yall know what my improvements are

just got done installing the banks ram air kit. The instructions where easy as pie to follow and the pics in it wheere very detailed and labeled nice, with arrows and definitions pointing every where. Cant say on the mpg improvements yet but i will be thru the first tank on it by monday. the first test drive was nothing but me grinning at the sound of the turbo spooling up. with the mbrp 5" pipe out back i could hear the whin from under the hood and out the back. when the jake kicked on the turbo scream was amazing. i can definatly feel the power that this gave me but i havent romped on it yet, maybe in the morn on the way to work. i don twant to get into it to much since it took over 140.00 for 30 gallons to fill up....
