Default Mini Maxx here we GO!!!

Hi all, I am new to diesels and new to this forum. I bought my first diesel about a month ago. It is a used 2008 3500 with the 6.7L.

After I got it i took it straight to the my guys shop for basic maintainence and discovered it had a straight pipe back to the muffler with an O2 sensor hanging off the frame. We both thought that was weird and there was open connectors. So I began doing research because he said it was really blowing black smoke?!? hmmmm

Well I discovered that all the factory EGR stuff was present except the cat and dpf. But, shortly after driving it, it went into "REGEN" and has remained there for the last 400mi...... I had the codes cleared several times and it does not last very long. So I figured that there must have been a programmer that was removed. So after much research and reading...I LOVE THESE FORUMS!!! I came to a conclusion that an H&S seemed like the best choice for long term satisfaction for me...?! Soooo, I just ordered a Mini-Maxx..... whew I am nervous!!!
