I'll get her installed this weekend and we'll start a new thread for EGT logging and maybe we can learn something.

The Queen is Cherokee and a large part of her relatives still live in Tahlequah Oklahoma. A lot nicer State then Kansas IMHO.

Finally got thermocouple installed so I'll be watching the EGT tonight even though I'll be unloaded it should still be interesting due to the amount of wind we're having.

Default Doo-dah Land

I agree to Iraq being the armpit of the world, spent 13 months in Tikrit. My Doo-dah land is up here in the middle of Alaska. You can only imagine what sustained temps of -40 will do to the MPG. On a good day in January, I would be getting about 10 MPG unloaded untill all the bearings and diffs would warm up. And always having to run 4wheel drive for 6 months straight doesn't help either. The combination of ice and my dual wheels makes for an imteresting ride in two wheel drive. Squid, did you go with the edge programer because of quality or because of lack of other options? I'm trying to wait it out untill Banks comes out with the six gun for the 6.7 but I've got the itch for better Mpg and the power.

I got the Edge because it had everything I wanted. Not only did it produce Horsepower and Torque if needed but it also had a wide list of things it would monitor, like tranny temp, EGT, Regeneration and the list goes on.......... The MPG boost with the Edge and Volant intake was completely unexpected and I'm still shocked to be up in the mid to upper 17 MPG (Depending on the wind here in Kansas) and if it wasn't for the Regenerations that happen in town every now and then, 18's to 19 would be the norm unloaded.
(Note to self)I need to start a Thread for MPG setups so we can see what programmer/CAI setup gains what MPG.

Did either of you guys see that the Edge made your overhead unstable or not very accurate?

Not I. Are you seeing strange things on yours because there is a CNC flash upgrade for the overhead display.

This is my first posting.
Thank you for the great info about the edge.
I have a 2500HD Laramie quad cab 4X4. (My first diesel)
I really like this truck and so does the wife.
I am towing a 5th wheel and want to monitor what the truck is doing.
I only have 3,000 miles and the dealer said if I used the Edge juice w/attitude it would void the warranty. He also stated that they have been having a lot of problems with the 6.7L so it would be a bad idea to void the warranty now at only 3,000 miles.

Is there a truck monitoring system that gives all the readings that the Edge juice w/attitude does but is not programmer or module that alters the trucks performance?

Thanks for the help!
Steven

I won't go into a long spiel about how the use of the edge won't void your warranty unless you use it in such a way that it can be proven it bombed your engine. What I will tell you is the edge insight is just the readout portion but won't tell you the most important thing and that is Exhaust gas temperature (EGT) because you have to drill a hole in your manifold to install a probe and that would void the warranty on your manifold if it should ever crack.
