Can anyone tell me if the Edge Insight will display a EGT from from the OBDII connection or do you have to install an optional EGT probe?

Having just installed an Edge Juice, I suspect that the Insight is the same. You will need to install the EGT Thermocouple probe into the exhaust manifold in order to get EGT read-out.

insight will display EGT from both odbii probes. i use it and works great. if you want pre-turbo exhaust temp then need the edge probe or add 200 degrees in your head on the number you see from odbii exhaust probe 1.
