I owned 2 Rancheros, a '69 and a '72 GT, with 302's loved them both. I would tow a pair of trailers with the 69, a 4 wheel steer axle type (gen set) and a tow behind (the search light) on the rear of it. A WW II vintage (1941) Sperry Gyroscope (that was before Sperry Rand Corp became a name)72" Carbon arc anti aircraft search light and 120VDC 200Amp Gen set. total weight for the set was about 8,000 lbs. It was tricky, We used them for advertising, like at movie premiers and grand openings.
