Default Better Gas Mileage
I have an 07 3500 with a dump body and am only getting 11mpg driving around with it empty. Is that normal? I would think I should be doing much better than that.

Hi, I have a 2007.5 Ram 3500 Quad Cab dually longbed with the 6.7L/6 speed with a 3.73 rear end. I have put about 40,000 miles on the truck over the past 3 years. My mileage (in US MPG) is as follows:

straight highway empty at 60 mph - about 18 mpg
mix of city/highway - 13-15 mpg
highway towing (GCVW 24,880 lbs) - at 60 mph about 11 mpg
- at 70 mph 8-10 mpg

2007.5 2500 4x4 QC
Get around the same , grossing 17.500 Towing 5th wheel,. Speed kills mileage.
