Default Shell V-Power Fuel

Has anyone tried the V-Power fuel, I thought I would try it and I put one tank through, noticed my MPG was down at least 2 MPG. I know it's one tank, but it was the same 5 hour trip that I take almost every 2nd week...and no wind etc.

Valero or Conoco are the 2 that are easiest and least expensive out here. It seems we have a $0.20 price difference between stations of the same kind on the 2 sides of town.
Phillips 66 has a price war every now and again and it is usually on my way out of town. I haven't noticed a mpg difference with these fuels.

I have not tried Shell. We do have Shell locally, but unless I am traveling I try to buy all of my fuel from one of the local Exxon's which are all supplied by the same distributor. When I first bought my truck, I overheard a service writer telling another customer the reason for "such and such" problem with his truck was because of contaminated diesel. He asked where the guy had been buying fuel and the guy said "at Wally World". The service writer then told him that most problems were caused by buying the "discount fuel" because the discount fuel retailers didn't filter the fuel properly. So, I made up my mind right then that I was going to buy all of my fuel from a sole source. I keep all of my tickets to prove where I bought my fuel. Of course, you do take a chance when you are buying fuel when you are out of town, but that is not often for me. One thing I have noticed, the diesel pumps at the Exxon stations where I buy, are labeled, "This product is not an Exxon branded product". So, really, I don't know what brand I am buying.
