Default Pipeline website...Just more info

Here is a website that talks about fuel pipelines...It turns out that "batches of refined fuel" can indeed be seperated. I'm going to do some more searching to try and determine who gets what in terms of diesel fuel blends. If anyone has any other info, please post.

How Pipelines Work

Just a update. I've been using texaco diesel fuel and also from our local kangaroo. The texaco caters to cars and small trucks while the kangaroo caters to semi's. I've seen a 25% decrease in rengens and a 1.5 mpg increase in fuel economy between the 2 with texaco being better. I'm going to try the company owned flying J next. The flying J website gives you information about corporate and franchise ownership. From other posts, the fuel mix is different between the 2.

I started another work site a few weeks ago and it just so happens that every night I drive by this Phillips 66 station that carries Diesel. So I thought what the heck lets see if the Diesel they have makes any difference?

I've now filled up 6 times or I guess I should say I've put $75 in her 6 times since that's the max at night and I'm pleased to say that my Regenerations are down to once a night now. Since I can only put $75 in her I have no Idea what the MPG is but I think we all can agree that the less she regenerates the better the MPG. So Vis-a'-vis is right on with his theory that not all Diesel is created equally.

Maybe that Diesel fuel will improve in consistency as more and more trucks require the regen process. We, the 6.7 owners are the first of that new USA generation
