Question GDP fuel filter kit?

Has anyone put a 2 micron filter kit on a 6.7? It doesn't appear to be any room up front engine compartment, and was thinking putting a 2 micron filter in line before the stock filter ( 7 micron) on the rail somewhere underneath the truck which would be easy to get to. I know putting a 2 micron before the stock seems silly, but I know it would help. Any sugguestions?

I was wondering about adding another one myself since the one thing my mechanic kept repeating when I got my truck was to change the fuel filter every 10,000 miles. If you don't do anything else on schedule change the fuel filter every 10,000 miles, every 10,000 miles, change the fuel filter every 10,000 miles...................

So who sells this filter and how big is it? I'm going to be under my truck this weekend cleaning the oxygen sensors and while I'm under there I'll look for a good spot to place it.

yea when I got mine the dealer told me the biggest thing, is changing fluids and filters constantly, well when scheduled for replacement on a constant basis is huge on our trucks. If you wanted to add another filter after the 10 micron but couldn't fit it in the Vehicle, why couldn't you move both filters under the truck mounted to the frame, so you can arrange them in whatever order you want.

Thumbs up

Squid, I'm going with the in line 2-micron kit from Glasier Diesel Performance. I don't think you need another water seperator as the stock one has worked for me in the past. The one I going to get is the inline unversal $119.00 plus an extra fuel filter. All you need would be some 3/8" fuel hose and clamps and you are done. Don't need all the fancy fittings and big line kit since you are going before the stock filter not after to the CP3 pump.

The reason I mentioned the seperator is Dodge says you can only run a 5% biodiesel cocktail in our trucks stock. If you strap on a better seperator then they state you can move up to 25%. Thanks for the info on the filter.

For oil bypass, found a really good cheap source for the FS-2500 setup on 6.7L .... Cost at 450.00 including shipping for stainless line setup (listing around 700+, best discount so far seen at 599.00) ..... More to come on this
