Default Fuel Filter?

I am new to the cummins and just signed up on the forum. I just got a new ( well new to me) 2007.5 3500 6.7L. I am going to be changing the fuel filter soon. My question is how do I tell if i have the new housing or not? and if i need to get the new one, what one do i get so that the water in fuel sensor still work? I have heard that if u get certain ones that the sensor no longer works. Any help would be great. Thanks

Geno's garage sells the kit to replace the old style filter. you can't really tell unless you can look at the p/n's on the outside of the canister.
