I was going to do this because Friday it hit $3.99. Which doesn't make any sense. They are now raising diesel right along with regular gasoline but the two markets are separate. Diesel competes with fuel oil thus the increase in diesel prices in the winter and you get more diesel from a barrel of oil then gasoline so as a rule when the temps warm up and there is less use of fuel oil for heating homes, like now, the price should drop not rise. We're getting screwed and I'm starting to think the U.S.A is being attacked by countries that have no Army and the modern weapon is oil.

Tha attacks are not necessarly foreign. Record profits from oil companies indicate greed. They are making more money in profit than they know how to spend. I hate to see the result on the american truckers and resulting higher prices to us in every area.

OPEC declined to increase production to increase supply, devaluation of the american dollar and our south american dictator buddy, have had an impact.
We're seeing the result now of record high crude oil prices. It just doesn't seem to me that futures should be allowed on oil.

Drove by the station I use yesterday morning and fuel was 3.83. Was going to get fuel on the way back home late in the afternoon, and it had gone up to 4.00.

Overall US fuel consumtion has dropped by 1% since the latest prices increases. Hasn't done that since 1997.
Crude has also dropped about $9.00 per barrel since it's record high of $110.00/ barrel.
I wish Cummins would develop a way for us to run 20% Bio. I'd do that even if it cost me more, to stick it in the ear of those who are holding us hostage.
Test on bio diesel have shown up to a 25% reduction in diesel particulates and seems perfect fo the 6.7

The reason for high fuel costs: Can you spell "Gouging"?
Diesel here in the Phoenix area is $4.00 a gallon. Why? Because they can! If we were running out of petroleum stocks, I would bet everything I own, SOMEBODY, would magically develop an alternative fuel. I know, I know I'm an

Just a update. I've been using texaco diesel fuel and also from our local kangaroo. The texaco caters to cars and small trucks while the kangaroo caters to semi's. I've seen a 25% decrease in rengens and a 1.5 mpg increase in fuel economy between the 2 with texaco being better. I'm going to try the company owned flying J next. The flying J website gives you information about corporate and franchise ownership. From other posts, the fuel mix is different between the 2.
