Got my kit today and I am wondering how to connect the hose to the connector on top of the stock filter housing and then to the oil cap. I ordered the two pieces but It looks like I will need another part to connect.
Thanks for the help. Patrick |

BMK 25 Dual remote.

The dual remote comes with a gizmo that replaces the factory oil filter. It bolts on to where the filter did screw on. Once you fasten that on you run the 2 oil lines supplied to where you mounted the dual remote block. You have to figure where you want to mount the block.
I did it that way for a while but moved the block to the far side under the driver seat on the frame. I re-installed the original filter and found a fitting that would screw into the top of the oil filter mount (there is a plug there now). I ran a high quality fuel line from that fitting around the front top of the engine to the dual filter block. Then I ran the outlet line back to the oil filler cap on the top of the engine. I had to order the filler cap from an AMSOil dealer.

I've looked at this several times. I want to install one but the filter cost is out of line, IMHO.

Ok last question on this. It gets installed next week now that school is out. Did you use the 1/2 diameter line that the BMK 25 came with or did you use smaller. That little fitting comming out of the filter housing seems aweful small to fill that larger line and fitting. Just wrapping my mind around this. Probably over thinking but at anyrate. I know I will need an adapter to fit to the oil cap and fitter house fitting if it is the 1/2 diameter lines as furnished in the kit.
Thanks again for your help! Patrick |
