Default M.P.G. while towing

HI: I previously posted this on the general discussion area but after posting thought that it might be more relevant in this area.
I have a tri-axle toy hauler at a gross of 10-1100 lbs. and towed it for a year with a 1500 ram hemi, that couldn't handle that load. Most days I got6-8 mpg and on a rare good day could touch the 10 mark.
I have now got a 2008 2500 6.7 that is my first diesel .
Does anyone out there have any guesses what kind of mpg I can look for. I know that driving conditions and terrain are big factor. Just curious to see what others get with a load
I love this truck so far and I'm sure it will out perform my 1500 hemi with the load that I'll have.
Any guesses will be appreciated.Thanks

I had a 2009 3500 with the 6.7 and 3:73 gears. Pulled a 12,000 pound fifth wheel camper to Disney World and averaged 9MPG doing 70-75MPH.

Have 2009 6.7 3.32 and I pull a 5th wheel about 24,000 miles a year. I travel over the sierra on a lot of my trips but also on the interestate. My trailer maxes out aroung 11,500 and I have been getting around 11 mpgs depending on road conditions and wind.

Before I had a bumper pull that maxed out around 10,000 but had the aluminum rough exteriour and I got less mileage with it.

I generally don't go over 65mph.

I tow a 2003 Cougar 5th wheel in the Western states. I usually get about 11-13 mpg running 70~75. The trailer is light at 6000# until I add luggage, then its 7500#. I also have a 2004 Apache truck camper (TC); I usually get 13~16 mpg going to Colorado from lower New Mexico. Last fall we traveled 3500 miles (NM, UT, AZ, ID, MT, NV, CO, then back home); ave mpg: 14 with 2500# TC, winds (up to 60) snow, and other weather. We drove the mountains and ended up in Kalispell, MT. Great trip.

The rig I tow is a 28.5' Durango, 2 slides it tips the scales at around 11K, we get 13 on average to Durango, Co and back to Albuquerque. If we push it when we go south to 'The Butte' we get less than 10, usually there is a 40 mph head wind both direction. Last year to Las Cruces we got 12 on the round trip, round trip to Tucson was nearly 14 (she drove the whole way).

I pull a 36' Jazz 5th wheel, triple slide. Towing weight is 12,000 +/- depending on how its loaded. Get 10.0-10.4 mpg round trips over to coast thru mountains. Rarely do all flat land towing but have seen 12-13mpg, at 58-60mph.
