Default The future of towing

I know there are a lot of you that have trailers you tow. I myself have a Cougar 320SRX and enjoy it very much. But you have to see this. YouTube - 1974 Volkswagen Beetle & Camper - road test

A little small but encouraging that they are finally looking at this...Another thought, we could tow the vw and camper and have a nice small car to drive around at the campsite

I owned a few Beetles back in the 60s and 70s. God help the driver if he happens on a good cross or head wind!

Default This is the real future of towing

This is a 22" hitch ball for a 220 ton coal trailer. It will be attached to the hitch of the trailer and a bronze socket assembly is attached to the frame of the truck. The truck is a CAT 785 200+ ton dump truck (In a previous life).

isn't that something.....one thing about VWs...they were quite the car.

I remember in the 60's (I was a kid) a Pulp Mill in Hinton Alberta, used 4x4 trucks to get to where the VW's were parked, and they continued the journey deeper in the bush with the VW.

They would go places that the heavier 4x4's couldn't....
