Default Bump stop load levelers

Has any one seen, used, know where to find Bump stop load levelers??
I have seen them before and can not seem to be able to locate them. I have run air bags for years and enjoyed them. I don't really want to put them on the new ride but would like to have a little more loaded ride height with out sacraficing the current ride. They are designed to replace the current bump stops on the rear axle, the can be adjusted and 'tuned', If I remember correctly they are hollow rubber cushions.

I know what you're talking about. The are made by Timbren and here's the link to the application guide along with a link to the installation instructions.

Found a dealer here in Alb. $299 for the kit. I will possibly pick them up at the beginning of next month.

Cool, I'm interested in your thoughts on how well they work. We all have to be the Guinea pig some time. LOL

Timbrens as I see them are nothing more than an upgraded bump stop. Many people will argue this point, but what would you call something that replaces your existing part with a part that is larger and comes into contact with the frame sooner? Some people like them, some hate them. Personally if you need something to bring the truck back level after loading ( Timbrens will not) then air bags are a better choice. If you choose the wrong set of Timbrens then they will hit every time you go over a bump and cause all sorts of uncomfortable ride. Your choice and this is JMHO.

Point taken and that has been taken into consideration. The last 3 vehicals that I have owned, The 96, and 85 3/4 ton Suburban, and a 69 Ranchero all have had air bags. Nothing to complain about at all, yet none of them had overloads on them either. The 96 is set up so that there is 0 psi in them with no load, if you did not know it had them you would never suspect. My issue is the height difference with the over loads and setting air bags on top of them, not enough room for a 0 psi unloaded ride. @ 5 psi on the 96 it lifts the rear 2", (That is where they say to run the minimum pressure, BS, IMO). I was looking for a leveling medium that would only work at the last 4" of suspension travel and no other time. Believe me it was not an easy choise to move away from air bags but I will probably do the Timbrens first and if it does not do what I need I will probably look for air bags of a lower capacity to install.

Just installed a set of Timbrens on my 08 3500 today. I'm not interested in raising the loaded height of my truck, just want to keep it out of the over loads over pot holes and rough road. The folks at Timbren said they would supply me with a shorter set if the set I received raised my loaded height too much but thought the set they sent would do the job for me. I tow regularly, 5th wheels and bumper pulls, will report back after my 1st trip whether or not I think they're any good. I may end up removing the over loads.

I installed a set on a friends FERD and they preformed as advertised. How ever, when loaded the rear does sag but it did keep the suspension off the bump stops. next step air bags to keep the ride level.

Have run timbrens since my 98 Dodge 1500. They should ride at least an inch or so above axle housing. When empty.

Normal rear height, empty, is apprx 3" over front. My 31ft Cougar goes on and 2500 is just about level. At least headlights aren't hunting "possum" in the trees at night. Ride loaded is a bit stiff.
Did a 10,000 mile trip around the USA, last summer, no problem.
