Default '08 mega 3500 4wd towing capacity

That chart for the '07 doesn't cover my '08 mega. I have a 4wd, auto 3.73 non-dully. I have owned for 6 month. I go out today to shop for a 5th wheel and everything I want is around 13,500 dry. So I check my sticker and it says 10,100#. Give me a break. So I check my sales brochure and it says 10,500. Dealers are scratching their heads too. Somebody sold me a bill of goods. Hell this tows less than my old 2000 cummins. So not only do I have a dinasaur that gets lousy mileage I have a tinker toy that won't tow squat. What a crock. Should have bought an rv and watched that depreciate instead of this.

You should be around 16,300 lbs. towing capacity....I tow 10,000 all day no problem with 1850 pin weight.

Default Towingcap.

Thanks. I finally found a site and it is 13,500 for my '08 3500 4wd auto mega with 3.73. The other, GVWR tht is stickered is the max wgt. for the vehicle.
Sorry.

Charliemike,
When I bought my 07 3500 single wheel with the same package as you, the poster in the sales office advertised the new Ram trucks towing capacity at 19,000lbs. My montana fith wheel weighs in @14,000 lbs . This truck pulls it like a champ.

Mine is around 11K with 1500+ pin weight and no issues here. Next month I will be going to AZ to bring home a 40 footer for a friend. He says it's around 16K and 1800+ pin weight. Looking forward to giving the truck a real work out. I'll keep you posted

Got back from the Great Smokies. Two things happened on this trip.
First the truck performed better than ever and....
Had the best mpg towing for this trip.
My towing weight was about 350 lbs heavier than usual and the usual 8% grades were there as well. I guess that 20,000 miles was some sort of a engine milestone...I love this truck
