PA Birdman,

The install was straight forward. My 13 Y/O and I did the install front and rear taking our time in under an hour and a half, and that was with the nine million questions he asked! I am sure your install time will be faster!!

Vis-a'-vis,

The ride is much more composed, it absorbs the small bumps far better (minimizing the skitish feeling of the front end), and over bigger bumps it stops the bounce in one bounce, where before it would bounce 3-4 times. The install was very straight forward. A half inch ratchet with the appropriate sized sockets, and a couple of open end wrenches did the trick. With gas shocks, always remember to wait to cut the strap wrapped aroud the shock until it is installed, otherwise the shock will expand, and it will be too long to install in the mounting points. You can still collapse it with a floor jack, but it is a pain, so waiting until the shock is in makes life much easier.

All the best to you all!!

The install went OK, the back shocks were real easy, the front shocks were a little more tricky with getting tools into the top to loosen and remove the shocks, but it is definitely something that can be done at home. The stiffness and quickness of rebound on the Bilsteins shocks are dramatically better then the stock shocks.

The truck handles the bumps much better now, but I still have a problem, I'm guessing it's my steering damper is shot, because when ever I hit a bad bump in the road over 40mph the front wheels shake back and forth violently, it's actually pretty scary. I need to call the dealer while it's still under warranty to have this checked out.
