Default Heavy-Duty Ram Suspension Showdown

Last night as the odometer rolled past 26,000 miles my mind drifted to the very real thought that come this spring I'm going to have to invest in some suspension parts. I'd like to raise the nose to even out the stance but other then that I'm very happy with the height of my 4x4. So this morning as I started doing some research ( I research stuff to death) I ran across this great article and thought you all might to read it Heavy-Duty Ram Suspension Showdown | Off-Road Magazine Article at Automotive.com If any of you have any thoughts or recommendations feel free to chime in.

It was a good article but it was more for performance suspension systems. If yourjust wanting a leveled look ,there are dozens of makers and they really do ,do the same thing, lift front and retain factory ride quality or the lack of. Dont be picky get the cheapest steel one out there, topguncustomz has it for around 75 bucks, and you wont need any thing else for the install.

Hey what about those 2&3 inch lift spacers that go between the top of the coil spring and the shock mount assmy that j.c whitney sells? They are heavy gauge powdercoated steel, with a pair of rancho 5000's sold seperatly. I installed on my 97Ram it was a easy instal & worked out great.I am consedering for my 09 ram.

I would love to level my truck but I think I read it on this site that if you are going to be towing much that it will change the way the truck handles with a load. When I put a trailer on my rig now, it squats some what. so if the truck is level empty then I would assume it would be sagging when you load it. Just my two cents worth

That's why I'm going to go with adjustable front coil overs. Just a few turns and the front drops back down for towing.

I simply ordered factory "988" HD snow plow springs for my 3500. It raised the front about an inch and only helped the steering.

No, I'm still stock because I decided after about 30,000 miles I really wanted a laramie so I'm taking my 07 to 100,000 miles and trading her in.
