I have just been recently turned on to Carli Suspension. I went to the website, Dodge Ram Suspension, Dodge Suspension and Ford Super Duty Suspension Systems - Carli Suspension, Inc, and about fell out of my chair when I started checking out the products and saw the prices! The one thing I need to replace here soon are my ball joints. I saw that they do offer ball joints and that they are so confident in thier product that they offer a LIFETIME warranty! That is a pretty bold statement considering Dodges are notorious for premature ball joint wear.
Does anyone have any carli suspension equipment on thier truck? If so how is the ride, performance, quality, and is it really worth the price? thanks!

Carli are the Caddy of products.
Their ball joints for Dodge are the best and highest rated around. They studied very carefully the OEM products and various replacements out there and their weak points. They are rally and lab tested which rather nice, their results are posted for all to see. There where some problems very earlier on and all resolved and customers taken care of. Unlike any other ball joint, theirs does not use liners that break down and their balls and sockets are matched so there is full contact all the way around. They are expensive but when you sit down and add up all the costs that is involved in changing out the ball joints, you truly save in the long run. If you have manual front hubs, cost of ball joint replacement goes up. You are really getting what you pay for. Its well past changing time for my ball joints but still saving up the change for Carli's. I looked at others like Dynatrac, but not a sufficient cost difference to screw around with their rebuild kits. OEM's and OEM style replacements are out the question for me. Do not know if this helps any or not.

I had a Carli Starter System installed in the fall and I love it. It truly smoothed out the rough roads up here in the NT (Canada's Arctic).
About the only thing I might consider is upgrading the Bilstein 5100 Series Shocks to the Bilstein 7100 Series Remote Reservoir Shocks. Just so that I can get the best on-road performance possible. When I have to change my ball joints I am torn between Carli and Dynatrac. But that is still some time away - I hope.

I didn't respond because I would love to have the Carli but when you put over 40,000 miles a year on your truck and don't know if the next one you get will allow you to swap the components out it does give you pause due to the price.

Squid, are you thinking about moving to another brand of truck???
I like the looks of that Carli suspension. Thinking hard now that I have seen what they have to offer, just the starteer kit wouldbe beneficial to my needs without losing any towing capabilities.....I mus do more research and talk to the account manager...LOL |

Dodge Ram Suspension News and Latest Company Updates from Carli Suspension, Inc
spaceace, this should answer any questions you have; straight from the Carli site. Dedicate some off time, as it is a long read. Like you, I only found them recently, but I belive my money is going there when I upgrade. I've been looking at doing a full Back Country kit, air bags, front end kit, sway bar and link bars. Overkill for what I need but, from all the good reports on other sites, it will be the last money I ever spend on those components. I could go cheaper and mix and match from other brands, but have heard bad things when that happens. For me, spending more money to get a kit engineered to work together is smart money. Hope this helps. |

I have a full blown Carl kit (2.65 ACV, full leafs, control arms, hydro bumps, steering stabilizer, sway bar, trac bar, ball joints, diff guard) on my '09. You just need to be realistic on how you use your truck for the appropriate system.
Starter System = on road better than stock & very mild off road Back Country/2.0 7100 Systems = on road better than the Starter & mild off road 2.5, 2.65, 3.0 Systems will give you great on road, but the off road gets more serious. I do recommend if your towing a lot or have a camper on back most of the time. Go with the 2.5" shock system. The control you can have with the shock valving makes a difference in sway and handling on the King 2.5" shock. Other components included full leafs that will give you a plush ride over the mini packs. You will need air bags for the full leafs with heavy pin weight. They will squat about 2" -/+ depending on weight. The sway bar helps eliminating the side to side movement when turning or head on with an off camber situation, but flex's in turns for a sport car feel. The control arms will move your axle forward 1/2" after the coil install to get your geometry and castor back (don't need this, but good to have down the road when funds are available). My BJ's are very stout and Sage will back the lifetime warranty. They pulled a set off Brads truck after numerous Baja outing pounding the truck and look new inside. I've had a 2.5 performance Carli System on my '05 CTD and Ford 250 PSD in the past.
