Default Tubular Steps

Hi Everyone,

Just installed my new side steps to make it easier for the wife and kids to deal with the truck and here are some pics ...

They are 4 1/2" O.D. tubing with integrated diamond plate step pads, powder coated black (gloss).

Before:

After:

Other after shots:

Purchased them from:

Bodyguard Truck Accessories, Heavy Duty Truck Accessories, Ranch style replacement bumpers, front replacement bumpers, rear replacement bumpers, winch bumpers

Their customer service and sales was A1+ !! I tried ordering something similar from another outfit, and what a disaster !! One phone call, couple minutes on the phone and with Bodyguard and I was done. Super fast trucking service, received it well ahead of schedule.

Installation time, took about 2 hours. I wanted to install it my way and undercoated certain parts and made rubber gaskets so metal to metal rubbing (personal preference). Bolts on, no drilling or cutting and fits like charm and very tough.

I highly recommend them and the company.

Cheers all,
Roberto

Thanks, I will have to get better pics soon.

They bolt into the exact same places that the factory steps do on the body. If you look under your truck by the doors, you will duct tape covering holes, the special bolts go in there. There is a bracket that goes from the tube to the frame for stiffing.

One person install if you have two floor jacks.

Placing my 250 lbs fat body on them, the truck moves, not the steps

Cheers,
Roberto

Made good use of the bed side step yesterday after a very large Costco run !! So darn sweet to get the front of the bed without getting in

Even the wife has been pleased
