Default Towing Mirror Upgrade

Upgraded from the factory flip-style mirrors to some TTT mirrors from TTT-mirror.com. Thought you guys might like some info on the swap with some before and after pics.

I noticed that you didn't compare when the OEM is in towing position...

For me the OEM, spot is in the wrong position when flipped. I was thinking of switching the glass from side to side..ie: place the drivers glass on the passenger side.

This would move the 'spot' inward and allow better viewing on the outside of the mirror..(hope that make sense).

Any ideas on removing the glass portion only and swapping them???

Well I found out that they aren't interchangeable. If it wasn't for the stabilizer clips on the back it would clip on the mirror mount. I may have to look at this again when I have more time.

But I was towing this weekend and I sure found the spot on the out side to be in my way. I'd prefer to have normal mirror on the outside lower corner...the hunt continues..

I have a tendency to focus on the tires when I'm backing up. The flipped up mirror allows me to do that. Just another thought. I usually camp in pull through and back up into my property, I've got a culvert where I don't want to put a wheel, so it's good for me...Take care Dad

I focus on the tires too..and I find that the flipped up mirrors has the 'spot' mirror on the lower outside corner, where I usually look for the tires on my trailer...something I am so used to ???...being old an all...

I sort of like these mirrors on the 07.5. The 96 has WAY more mirrors than a truck should.
I found a set of tripods with flip outs and 4" spots under them, the stock mirrors are still in place too. The only issue is when in tow there are 4 mirrors on each side to look at, it gets confusing for some, but there is no blind spot.
