Default New mod - old visor

Hi All,

Well got bored so did another mod to our truck .... Something different, a little mix of old on new

Check it out ... painted to match the truck's bright white, uses existing holes and attaches to the windshield via special adhesive tape ...

Works very nice. Blocks sun just right that the inside visor misses every single time !

Cheers.

Reminds me of the old Chevy's. So what did you use and who painted it? NICE!

Got the product from the following:

Race and Street Wildfire ...
DODGE RAM VIZOR Satin Aluminum Powder Coat Finish: Race and Street

Best price in around and free shipping. Others want $200.00 and seen as high as $500.00 (joke). They come primed only so they have to be painted. Primer job is great so no additional prep work if it arrives unscratched. There are only a couple place that sell this, all made by one shop in Huntington Beach California.

On mine, I did not have the time to paint it myself so went to a local shop. Honestly, wish I spent the time to do it myself. Took them a while to do it right. If you see a shop painting curved parts vertically, quickly go some place else !! Average cost around here about $250.00.

Cheers.

I can't see the pics. Bet it's a neat mod though considering what I've seen from you so far!

Default Do not buy

After testing for a month now, DO NOT BUY IT !

I have installed it 3 different times and with no to meet what the vendor claims. I re-machined the brackets so the conformed to the angle of the windshield, used the highest strength 3M exterior tape and special primer and bottom line, it does not survive sustained 70mph freeway travel.

This time, it came apart after 8 hours at 70 mph .....

Well, it was worth a try.

Cheers all.

Just wondering by your reference to 3m tape.... Is it screwed to the truck body?

If not, how is it attached?

What came apart that you are talking about? Thanks
