Default Ali front bumper replacement

Hi Everyone,

After a great deal of searching, found a replacement company and product for my project and thought I would pass it on ....

Turns out that there are only three companies doing an OEM look ali front bumper designed to withstand serious impact without damage. They are in no order, Herd, Magnum, and Excelguard. I personally am not impressed with excel's look and do not think it will withstand the test like other two (can tell that by looks alone).

Preview of the bumper:

Some details from Magnum:
  • Custom 3/8” aluminum formed main beam for super strength and superior styling
  • 2 additional rear reinforcement tubes increase bumper rigidity
  • Fully boxed main vertical beams with internal reinforcement plates
  • Large diameter 3” pipe including custom arced center bars
  • Large center cut-out creates easy airflow path to radiator
  • Heavy Duty steel mounting brackets with factory style tow hook
  • Fog light holes with mounting tabs allow the re-use of the factory fog lights
  • Convenient license plate mounting holes ensure a clean look
So the bumper is the same as the Herd model except these folks got the fogs in there and working, retained the factory style tow hooks and kept nice large opening for cooling.

The unit weights in at around 200 lbs. Direct bolt on unit, the bottom of the bumper is 16 inches below the front grill (same as factory).

There is a possibility for a group buy to get a discount. List price is $2500.00 and shipping to California is $200.00 from Canada (to give you all an idea). There is a 3 week lead time (made to order).

What do you all think ? Know its expensive, but its a light weight all in one unit that does add function without stealing from our available load weight. Also like the idea its ali and not painted or power coated metal.

Cheers all,
Roberto
