Cool Banks 6-Gun / OttoMind tuners

Hi Squid. You are correct. Sorry if my post was misleading. I got to the test through the section covering the 5.9 since there is nothing on the 6.7 yet. What I intended was to let everyone know what efforts were made to control soot by the different manufacturers since that is one of our concerns. You can see from the tests and the chart on the webpage the soot levels for some of the tuners are quite high which would cause re-gen more frequently defeating the purpose of installing one for increased fuel economy and that apparently some of the tuners don't worry much about soot. Yes, I do realize you may not make much soot until you lean on it but the potential is still there especially in stick trucks where the inexperienced driver may tend to lug the engine. I assume that programming will carry over to our Cummins tuners as well. Banks is the only manufacturer advertising clean tuning or soot reduction of any kind.

Again my appologies if my post may have been misleading.

There are those who believe that back pressure helps the initial torque responce much like a runner pushing off a starting block...FYI

A friend of mine got a turbo code and when they found his ring missing they voided his warrenty. The ring is not a silencer ring on the 6.7 (it is on the 5.9) . It helps direct air into the turbo for propper flow which also helps with cooling. My

I'm sorry but I don't see how anyone can say that it's anything other then a resonator if the ring you speak of is item #10?

the dealers and cummins seem to be just looking for any reason to void the warranty due to all the problems that are surfacing. It just comes down to money. I got lucky then because I had to take mine in because it was leaking oil. Turned out to be a warpped timing cover. But I was worried cause I have the banks ram air and the mbrp SPF back pipe. I guess I got lucky.

I've had no such problems with my air intake system. I bought an AEM BRUTE FORCE HEAVY DUTY DIESEL INTAKE and its great it changed the tone of the motor and the turbo really came alive it spools up faster and it whistles its ass off. It sounds good. It cost me about $330.00 from xtreme diesel performance.

I'm with you, I love my Volant Powercore and Juice with Attitude and so does the truck. There is so much disimformation out there on the 6.7L that all I can do is shake my head. I surfed some of the other Diesel sites the past couple of days and the Cummins powered 2500 and 3500 must be out selling all other Dodge trucks 3 to 1 by the number of people who say they own one.
