Flash PCM
I have had my Dodge 3500 6.7L Turbo Diesel Dually in and out of the dealership for the P2262 code about 11 times during the first few months of ownership. They could not at first identify the problem until they sent back to CA engineers and they told them to "clean out" the turbo and EGR system. This ended up "killing" the turbocharger. They replaced the turbo (5K) and did the "Flash PCM" in to shut down the "top fuel rack" during idle to stop the carbon buildup in the system. I have not had trouble with the CEL since then. Then today it came back on. I have been running the Hypertech model on Stage 2 and using the EXbrake ALL the time and in and out of "Tow/Haul" mode. The "dreaded" P2262 code reappeared today and the module had to clear the DTCs before it would put it back to "stock/factory" settings. I'm trying to figure out why it came "back" on after all the work done to remedy the carbon buildup problem. Every two months I have driven "Daisy" to NC at 70 plus MPH so I know the DPF has been cleaned out. Any thoughts? Thanks.
