Well got the ol' P2262 Turbo Code tuesday so I took it in that day as i didn't want to mess anything up or what have ya. Truck was running fine no issues the whole nine yards. Get the call the next afternoon that it needed a new turbo. Got it back seems no worse for the ware. Everything seems normal since its return. On and upward I recon!

hey just wondering did you always let your turbo cool down? and was it covered under warranty? I talked to a guy the other day with an 08' 2500 that said he had to do turbo change at 40k miles, but did not get a chance to ask him about it.

Mine had 47,000 miles at the change. I've noticed a few differences. A few I am waiting to post on till I get more miles. It never ran bad. Never felt like I didn't have any boost. They said that it tested out that a new Turbo was needed. In a way I'm glad. I'm also glad I didn't have to pay the bill!

It seems smoother! The Jake doesn't stick anymore. I really think It gummed up the first year I had it and it finally threw the code. It always had bocoos of power and even when I took it in with the 2262 code I didn't see a difference, They said replace the turbo so thats what they did. I've got a few things I'm watching. I've noticed diesel smell in Regen since the new turbo. The first tank of fuel was almost 3/4 of a point higher. The next tank was that much lower than the before norm. But I had two big regens in that tank. I just filled up and I'm watching carefully. If the diesel smell persists I will call dealer and see what they think.

You guys still running the original turbo? Any of you guys done the deletes? Been curious on how long the turbo will last. Thanks, this is my first post here. I have a few dodge cummins 5.9L trucks. Fairly new to the 6.7L, been scared to drive the truck. I have 2010 3500 laramie, nicest truck that I've owned.

I have a 2009 with 3k miles. I did a dpf delete, 4' straight exhaust, cold air intake and smarty jr programmer (it turns the egr & dpf systems off) Truck has never run better. I did this early to prevent any turbo, dpf or egr problems. I left the egr in place and can return the truck to stock in about 2 hours. I think the newer trucks have a lot less trouble than the early 6.7's do and driving it with the e-brake on and like you stole it will keep things clean and avoid trips to the dealer. With my performance mods, the added power, mpg and exhaust sound were well worth the time and money. For me, its was a personal preference to do the deletes as they are not necessary to keep the truck alive. The only issue i"ve had was a bad cell in one battery and I opted to upgade to interstate batteries on my own.
