What really chaps my A** is all the talk of voiding warranties! it's all nonsense. If you want to void a warranty buy a lemon law buy back vehicle "As Is". Other than that warranty is property. You bought it when you bought the truck. it belongs to you.
Keeping it simple modifications in and of themselves do not impact the warranty. Unfortunately there are many in my business with Napolean complexes. It works like this. If you modify a vehicle and that modification causes a failure, the repair to correct the failure would not be covered, but the warranty would remain intact. The modification simply being there does not affect warranty coverage.
A vehicle under warranty can have the warranty tagged as "restricted" this merely means the manufacturer reserves the right to question or examine the failure prior to providing warranty repairs.
You have Service Manager troubles?? Come to Denver! My shop is performance friendly. Oh yeah my new 2011 with 900 miles just got its Edge Race with CTS yesterday. It would have gotten it day one if Edge could have supplied it. I can't wait to take my Dodge Rep for a ride. Here's hoping he wets his pants!
