Default Egr

Not sure if any of ya'll have tried this, but I've had my EGR unplugged for a while now, made a trip to the smokies and still have had good reports on fuel milage on the way up there I was averaging 22 hand calculated at about 68 MPH. Haven't done any other mods to the truck as of yet, but I'm in the process of putting in my edge juice with attitude.

I've read about it and also the DPF delete and the truth is I'm just not that unhappy with the truck to do it. I'm getting the same MPG as I was getting in my 1/2 ton Nissan Titan and with the help of some of the members on here we figured out what the truck needed to keep those nasty turbo error codes at bay.

I am interested in updates on this Mod tho because you never know.

I had mine unplugged for awhile but put it back together when the weather got cold. It took forever to warm up when it was below 0. That isthe only reason I have it plugged in is to warm it up. But with it unplugged I did notice a 300-400 degree drop in egt. Its good if your towing since you go into passive regen in the mountains but unloaded, clog clog clog

I noticed an increase in fuel milage anywhere from 2-4 mpg. I'm very pleased, I haven't plugged or removed the butterfly valve in the EGR just unplugged the sensor. I just installed my edge juice with attitude and she runs great, now I can clear my code upon start up. You guys with the edge have you noticed if you step on it your edge tells you your in Regen. It happens to me when I put the hammer down.

No, but I love watching the boost numbers and when she is regenerating she runs like a bat out of hell. TEHEHE
