Gents,
I feel your pain, I was excited to be able to change my oil in my truck before i had to leave for Iraq. Well I got all the oil and everthing I needed. Got under the truck and realized there we no Lug!!! So I used a quarter inch drive with no socket on it, worked like a charm. So I'm under my truck get my pan with the tiny hole in the middle to catch the oil. Get the plug out and holy hell I've never seen so much oil come out in my life, this thing was squirtin not in a nice little stream like my 5.7 hemi. It was spraying everywhere and the pan couldn't drink the Texas Tea fast enough so I had oil all over the drive way. The old lady wasn't thrilled about that, and it was the day before I left so I didn't have time to get it cleaned up cause I still had to pack. Well then I had to try to get the damn filter off!! I struggled for a long damn time. My wife with her smaller arms got in there and got the thing off!!

Same here...All I said was DAMN!!!. Just like you, nasty black oil all over the driveway. I now have mine done at my local tire shop. Shoot, that oil even splashes out of the deep extenable container they use. Geno's garage sells a reducer plug that limits the flow but I'm just too damn lazy now

to be honest i dont know the name of that tool and most auto parts stores will carry one. if not then just search for oil filter removal tools online and you can probably get one.
