Mine is off about 2 mpg on the average...Always reads higher then it is...My trouble was getting the tank full. Wait for foam to dissipate, pump, wait etc...even when pumping slow.

Made a run from Texas to Kansas last weekend and got 17.8 both ways at a steady 75mph. The overhead read 18.9 overall.

mine is a 08 2500,6spd manual trans, w/3.42:1 gears, it gets in town 14.5 to 16 depending on how i drive it , highway is 17.5 to 19 depending on how fast and wind, and has been as low as 11.5 towing a o4 super duty ford dualy one ton 4x4 on an open trailer at around 11,000 lbs. at a very fast speed, most towing i do with it is a 28ft. open car hauler that wieghs 2,600lbs empty, and it usualy will get close to in town numbers when towing a car at normal highway speeds... 13 to 15? I have been thinking about trying to do a mpg test with me driving to get better mpg in mind and see what I could get out of it calculated , as most of my numbers listed above are an average over many fill up and different drive cycles, to me thats whats important not what i can get once ,but how it is normaly....and yes my over head is always a little off but not to bad.

Default Comparison

09 6.7 6 speed manual SRW 3500 11k
Averaging 14.4 weekday commute 14 miles Weekend towing a stock trailer over the continental divide hauling horses.
Took a trip empty and averaged 17.8. Generally happy with the truck. The speedometer is about 2mph off when compared to the GPS.

When posting mileage info, you need to post what rear end installed and tire details like SRW or DRW and tire size.

This information has a major impact on mileage :

09 3500lb 3.73 6 spd manual

I tow a 21' toy hauler mainly for work. I travel over the Sierra mainly so lots of grades.

My typical mileage is 10.2 to 11.1. On my more flat runs pulling the trailer I can get up to 14. My outfit loaded is 10,000lbs plus.

On the road not towing my most typical trip to town is 30 miles each way and it ranges from 18 to 20 depending on wind and weather conditions.

My reading are hand calculated. I have never unplugged my egr but am tempted to try.
