If the truck doesn't regenerate it'll do 20 MPG easy. I know because I drove over 500 miles with no regeneration and man was it nice......................if I didn't plug up the DPF, HAHAHA..................

Hey I GET about 20 mpg, got that right from the first trip, and I only have 1300 kms on it too......

Oh right canadian gallons are bigger (thus go further..lol)

Actually the 'meter' shows 14mpg for me too and when I convert that to our gal/mile....I get about 20 mpg.

Honestly, if it only improves in the future with more miles I am happy.

The overhead is strictly a toy to amuse my son. I calculate mpg based strictly on the odometer and litres pumped. Then I convert to Imperial MPG. My truck locked on cruise at 120 kph, in 2wd, and no load, turns 1900 rpm and gets 20 to 21 MPG. Doing the same speed with my 8,000 lb travel trailer on the back and 1,000 lbs in the box it gets 13 to 15 mpg on the same stretch of road, depending on wind and traffic.
This is with the EGR unplugged, a gutted air intake tube, a drop in after market filter and a 4" hole cut in the bottom of the stock air box.

So what is tranny and rear-end setup ?

Important to know to make fair comparisons ..... Example, Mileage will vary between 6 speed auto with 3.73 and 4.10 rear ends also so will performance.

Side note, on my setup with EGR disconnected, overhead display comes very close to matching hand calculation by a +/- ~ 1 percent. Plug in the EGR, the overhead display = worthless.

I have only had mine a few months (it has 50K miles) and the best I have ever gotten is 16.7 on flat highway road trip. Combined mileage is usually around 13.5. I was failrly impressed with the towing mileage. Got almost 12 MPG with a 32 ' trailer and 15 round bales. I would sure like to increase the average MPG 3-4 miles.

When I pull my 35’ 5th wheel over the Oregon coast range I get 10 to 10.5 MPG from start to finish. I have not had it on the highway much with out my trailer so mixed use I get 13 to 13.5 MPG. I have not driven much since I installed the CAI and exhausted so I do not know if they have helped. 6 speed auto 3:73

One thing to consider, the overhead meter displays the Average MPG.
This is the average mpg for a tank of fuel.
Don't confuse this with Instant MPG.
I don't know why Dodge didn't add the Instant feature.
Alot of the luxury cars have Both Instant MPG and Average MPG in their displays.
So the only way to calculate the true MPG is to do the math off of your trip meter provided your speedo is correct.

Hope this helps.

After reset, it is instant...It becomes more and more less affected by driving changes as the miles go on,,,In any case, it is not very effective except to be general in nature.
