Glad to here you got one. We get Orax and Ibex here, I guess it is sort of the small type animal. I do know they are good eating.

Getting caught up on some threads. Places to go and visit, we always head for the mountains in the summer here in S Utah. 100 here and 75 there even though now its cooling off nice! We have a lance and tow a Jeep to our destination just about every weekend. Then off exploring the trails and hiking the peaks. Been to some great places. I gotta figure out the gallery options on here.

We are going to do Tday at the 'Butte' Elephant Butte lake, sort of in the middle of the state. Seems to attract more Texans then an one, guess they don't have lakes or water in Texas, I know if they wanted Texans to ski they would have given them mountians. Just kidding, and sorry if you are offended. But our ski areas here in New Mexico have about a 50% occupancy rate by Texans during the season,, King Bill Richardson thanks you all.

This may not be just a place to visit but... If you are ever in Durango, Co. make sure you save a little time and a few dollars to eat at one the best (IMHO) seafood joints this side (West) of the Mississippi called The Red Snapper. It's been there for about 25 years and we had one of the most memorable dinners I have had in a longtime. Yup, I think I do know good seafood after spending 8 years in the Boston Mass. area and spending summers in California. Give them a try if you are in the area. Stay at United Campground and visit Honeyville too.

Well as usual the trip keeps getting postponed, it will possibly be rescheduled for mid October now, waiting is a pain. But on the lighter side I get to find out where Kearny, Arizona is on wednesday. There is a campground in Superior that we will be staying at for a couple of days then the wife needs to figure out where to go next for a night before we head home.

Greetings to all from Arequipa,Peru. Yea finally made it here. It has been a tough trip, 17 hours to Lima and a 8 hour wait for a 2 hour flight to Arequipa. Living in the US, sometimes we take many things for granted like; Food, Lodging, Plumbing and general transportation. It is real 3rd world here with the exception everyone is electronically connected, WIFI every where (Usually sucks though) and cell phones. The Taxis you could put a couple of them in the bed of our trucks. The food how ever is GREAT! I am looking forward to the fried Guinea Pig this weekend (A local favorite) Llama steaks as well. I will attempt to link pictures when I get a chance (I know I have said that before, but i think I have it figured out, just 1 more try). The elevation is about 8400 ft and it is very dry and crowded, mountians every where. If you care to look it is at the Southern end of Peru. Wish me luck at the mine site.
