Default Places to go and visit

This weekend we will be going to Conifer (a little west of Denver and around 8500 ft) to visit some friends. Possibly in August I my be going to Winnemucca, NV for work, for about a week and might take the 5'er and the wife. Durango and Pagosa Springs are nice this time of year. In the winter time we travel South some towards Roswell, NM or Las Cruses, NM. Some times we take a day trip and pick a place 200 miles away and take 1 route to get there and find an alternate route back. There are tons of places here in New Mexico to do that and not go the same route twice. What do you do??

We are heading to The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, and finishing up with Glacier National park.
I am at Bruneau Dunes in Idaho. Not a fan...

Hello All,

I joined while ago but first time posting, I will be taking the truck to N Nevada next week looking for the wily speed goat(antelope) that my son finally got a tag for. Should be fun rough roads with nothing for miles.

Thanks to everyone for all the info on this site.

Just got back from Northern Nevada (Winnemucca to be exact) Nice town but wouldn't want to stay more than a week. Great RV parks though. This weekend we are going to Las Vegas (New Mexico) and will try to visit Sugarite, a state park in the North East corner of the state (Where the tornados have been).

Hey Garlic,

Got back yesterday and we did get the antelope. Normally cut our own meat but to hot to let it hang so dropped at the butcher last night. Should have it on the grill in about 10 days.
