Let's see, I love to fish and camp.
Have a 21' Gambler Bass boat and a new 31' camper.
I have been known to mess with model cars also.

Lets see where do I begin:
I've been shooting commercial fireworks displays for about 20 years, were talking 12" mortor shells, 1 1/2" to 3" Roman candles, Still hand lighting under 10" shells (I sort of get a "Bang" out of it) Pun intended. My wife and I do volunteer work for several organizations - Keep New Mexico Beautiful, Balloon Explorium, New Mexico State Parks, The New Mexico Tourism department. Last year we both put in 1100 hours each. We have a BBQ team that competes a coulple of times per year, We don't do real good in the competition end , but the public loves our food. This lends itself to a catering company and a seasoning manufacturing company as well. Hot Air Ballooning when ever my business partner needs help and I have a weekend off, I currently work 50 to 60 hours a week and a manufacturing plant. We still find time to take the 5'er out regularly.
As a good friend of mine states "Momentum IS Everything".

I enjoy hunting, fishing and camping. My newest interest is tracing my ancestry.I have found this to be a lot of fun and has led to trips to NC and VA to look for my roots.

Default Hobbies

I hate being bored and sitting around so I've got a few hobbies that keep me busy. I've always loved racing and cars so I race 125cc shifter karts here in Arizona and occasionally in Southern California when time permits. It's fairly affordable and the "bang for your buck" is incredible. Zero to 60 in under 3 seconds and 0 to 100 back to 0 in less that 10 seconds with up to 4G's in the corners! My son and I share the seat time in the kart and it's a great way to stay close.

I also tinker around on my 1970 Mach 1 that I've had for about three years now. Before I bought the 70', I built a 65' Mustang but I always liked the 69'-70' body style better so I sold it to make room for my 70. I show it every now and then and driving it is a blast.

Finally, to keep the wife happy and to get me out of the garage every now and then, we have a Signature 260 Chaparral boat we keep up at Lake Pleasant. It's a great way to relax and get away for awhile.

I've included pics of my shifter kart at the last race (before it blew up...) and of my Mach 1.

We are headed to Roswell this weekend for a Hot Air Balloon Rally ("Old timers rally"). There is supposed to be a group of guys called 'The Flying Wok men' that use over sized Woks on huge burners to cook for the group. Should be interesting. I hope the weather holds for some good flying, I'm not taking the 5'er just running empty, this should get me some good fuel mileage averages. I'll post some pictures when I get back.

Back from Roswell. The weather was great. We flew both Sat and Sun. The rally organizers said that was the first time in many years that both days were flyable.
550 miles and 18.7 MPG round trip. I'm impressed. I'll unload some pics this week, there are a few from altitude of the city.

18.7, is great. I guess once you get them rolling it doesn't take much to keep um rolling.
