Default When does it pay to buy a gas mizer?

For my work I drive over 130 miles a day, 6 days a week but I don't always need the truck. So today when oil jumped to $133 a barrel and rumors ""Since it was spoken, so it will be" of $200 a barrel oil making gas $7 and Diesel $7.80 a gallon by next year. It got me wondering when it would pay for me to buy a little gas miser, park it in the big city and just drive my truck back and forth from it and here's what I came up with. (Due to driving at night out here in the country. Deer, Cows and Horses mandate me driving a large vehicle for the sake of my life.)

33 gallons of Diesel at $7.80 Gallon = $257 a week- $1028 a month

Since I figure I can find a little car that will double the MPG of my truck with no problem I then came up with this.

16.5 Gallons of gas at $7 a Gallon = $115.5 a week - $462 a month for fuel.

To recap,
Truck $1028 a month
Itty Bitty car $462 a month

Not a pretty sight huh?

Squid these oils prices are insane. I don't know what we can do as consumers, it seems we're at someone else's mercy. I know I'm not liking it, I also know that my new diesel truck sat in the garage all week while I drove the car that gets 30 MPG and can't wait until the weather clears up so I can ride the motorcycle wich gets 45 MPG. If letting this occur is the governments way of slowing down the economy it's going to work.
