Default Seat Belt warning chime- how to disable?

I spend a good amount of time on my land working fences and doing my general ranch work which is a lot of short hops so it is does not make sense for me to buckle up to go from post to post.

Does anybody know how to disconnect the seat belt warning chime? Thank-you.

I haven't tried this but it's suppose to take care of the chime even though the light will stay on.

Quote:
The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be enabled
or disabled by your authorized dealer or by
following these steps:

NOTE: The following steps must occur within the first
60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON
or START position. The manufacturer does not recommend
deactivating the Enhanced Warning System
(BeltAlert).

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, and
fasten the driver seat belt.

2. Start the engine, and wait for the Seat Belt Warning
Light to turn off.

3. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle
and then re-buckle the driver seat belt at least three times,
ending with the seat belt buckled.

4. Turn off the engine. A single chime will sound to
signify that you have successfully completed the programming.
The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be reactivated
by repeating this procedure.

NOTE: Although the Enhanced Warning System
(BeltAlert) has been deactivated, the Seat Belt Warning
Light will continue to illuminate while the driver seat
belt remains unfastened.

It is covered in the owners manual and it works as stated. I did mine almost a year ago. It comes in handy when hooking up to your camper or boat. Also I dislike the horn blowing when you lock the doors with the remote. I programmed this so it flashes the lights instead. (also covered in the manual) I think it's nice that you can do it yourself, instead of having to take it to the dealer.

There are some other things that are user programmable.

I hear you on the horn. That was the first thing I took care of also.

""Front Seat Passenger Side Shoulder Seat Belt Tension Locking once buckled"" ,,,, I guess this is a good place to ask instead of a new thread. I agree with my wife or any front seat passenger when they buckle their seat belt and try to lean forward the Shoulder Strap's Belt Tensioner takes over and doesn't allow they to lean forward, i.e. to get somethiing from floor. They have to unbuckle to relieve it, then reach, then buckle back up. The Drivers Shoulder Seat Belt allows them to lean / extend the Shoulder Belt any time. I know on the passenger side this is a safety feature but a "Pain-In-The-A$$". Question: "Does anyone know of a way to disable / allow the passenger sholder seat belt strap to "Run Freely" ??? Thanks for your help. We are Lovin' our RAM... Jack & Lynne We have a "2008 RAM Laramie, 4x4, CC, DRW, LB, 6.7L"
