Talking Prices Paid

As I have said before, I am negotiating the last couple details with the dealer in North Georgia, would you say 18 to 20% off msrp would be a good place to start the negotiations? and if I use this formula does that exclude me from applying the available rebates? Just curious. Thanks for the help

Joe by the time I was done I got a little over $10,000 knocked off the MSRP of my truck and here's how I did it.

I stayed out of the big cities and was willing to drive 150 miles one way to get the truck so I went to the Dodge site and found out all the small town Dodge Dealerships that far away and sent them all an E-mail with what I was looking for and did the whole negotiation by E-mail. The only time I stepped on a lot was to sign the papers.

That is also what I did. One way is to find a costco and go to their Dodge dealer, they have a policy of not negotiating that way you have a lowest price that that dealer will go, and then go from there. My dealer then beat that price by another
$1,000.00 Be firm on your negotiations and tell them you are shopping around they do better then. GOOD LUCK!

I bought my truck local, but shopped around. The best typical deal I found is invoice, less the incentives, less 1/2 the hold back. Good luck and enjoy the buying experience.

Thanks everyone for the replies,I have offered 18% off msrp and asking for step ups and bed liner and the high idle featured to be enabled, and mud flaps. I do not think thats too much to ask, lol.

I researched the 30 day supply of dodge rams and it was over 95, anything over 68 and its a buyers market.
As always any more suggestions or items to ask for please do not hesitate to let me know. So close I can smell the diesel.
Thanks.

I waited for E-plan pricing before the 08's got released. The knocked the 'added adjustment' off and about 6 grand.

Well we're pulling for you and you won't regret it. Like I had a friend mine say after driving my truck,"Good lord this thing could move the world if you could figure out a way to get the traction and handles like a sports car to boot!". I thought that was saying a lot.

we are still going, I know dodge is at 115 day supply but this dealer seems to not care and values his trucks more. still going now considering looking at otnher dealers possibly the one in hickory north carolina. any suggestions?
At first i liked the laramie pckg, but do not care for the fake wood look, the slt has brushed aluminum counsole that looks appealing, but no leather. guess I could get aftermarket leather seats but not sure the cost.
