Talking New Truck

Well I got the truck on Monday, I drove it to work and man I can't believe I have waited so long to own a diesel this cunnins is GREAT! I know it's not a 3500 but the 2500 is just what I need in terms of towing and hauling that I need. I'm having a spray in bed liner put in on Monday. I was wondering what you all think about the 5 in exhaust with stainless tips? And the idea of mud flaps with Cummins on them if you find them let me know. I'll see if I can have a bumper sticker made up that says "NO IT'S NOT A HEMI"
Thanks for the site

Congratulations, you're gonna love that truck. I'm not gonna mess with my intake or exhaust in the near future. There is plenty of stock power and mods may do more harm than good. Have fun.

Howdy Winger! 2500, 3500, who cares as long as it's the 6.7L Cummins. When I got mine I could have gotten the same truck with the 5.9L but I wanted to do the right thing for the enviorment and after 12,000 miles I'm convinced I made the right decision.

I like all that power and no smoke. Some folks on other sites are big into the DPF delete and lotsa smoke. I'm with you, we get to have our cake and eat it too.

Yes I'm here to tell you this is one amazing truck. It seems that I'm getting about 16 miles to the gallon right now. Of course it only has 406 miles on it. Mine is silver so I'm looking for some chrome to go on it where is a good place to look? And also I'm looking for a small tool box to fit behind the cab? I have the 6 ft. bed so I don't need much. Just want to store a tow strap to tow my freinds CHEVY when he gets stuck.
LOL

Welcome Winger! I'm new here too have a 2500; plenty of truck for my needs (pull a 10K boat). I'm with the others that either I've matured or just plain grew up to the point that owning a truck that's puking plumes of black smoke simply did/does not appeal to me.

The only bummer about this clean burning diesel is sometimes I miss the exhaust smell that goes with a diesel truck. Oh well, I can always roll down the windows and just listen to it!

We'll see ya around here.

I have a feeling that there's a lot of over 30 something driving these trucks. I'm 46 and damn proud to be alive.........................believe me when I say I probably shouldn't be and I figure my only saving grace is that only the good die young. LOL

Winger: I've purchased some stuff form Geno's, They have been real good and the pricing isn't bad. They seem to target the 'need to haves' not just stuff.
Congrats on the new ride!! I've been enjoying mine since August and 'lovin every minute of it' Don't even mind the payments either. I've saved about half of the payment by parking the V-10.
