6.7L Cummins Forum

Well I have been in the background for some time. Reading your posts and found that my need to not to give the dealers my money has lead me to a listing about the infamous EGR and CCV replacement and cleaning. I have to say that you folks have been a wealth of knowledge and just wanted to thank you for your diligence.

I have a 3500 (not a dully) 6.7L Quad, 4x4. Love the truck and have been a dodge owner for half my life. I’m an 20 + year engineer who has made a career change after a layoff to general contracting.

I have also reached a point where I’m ready to do some other things to get better mileage, such as chipping, exhaust and air intake mods.

I went the same route as you back in 1992. Left Engineering (Boeing Military System Integration) to work for myself and now after 20 years I've never looked back. I have more money (Not at first) low blood pressure, home more and believe it or not I work less (Not at first,LOL).

Well thanks for the welcome. I was a mechanical/industrial/process engineer. I loved it until things became all about sending US brain trust over the pond. My last year was 2001.
